I first saw Erin on the lakeshore of Lake Geneva in Geneva, Switzerland. A Swan started attacking her by hissing and biting her leg. I had my 70-200 lens on me so I started photographing this episode. Erin stood bravely by and scolded the mother Swan, who was very aggresive to those recreationers on the shore.
The Swan was obviously used to getting fed and became annoyed when no one would feed it.
After Erin successfully shooed away the agressive swan, all the people cheered and that's when I decided Erin would be a great candidate for my 100 stranger's project.
I introduced myself, gave her my card and she pleasantly agreed to being photographed. She asked "is it a good photo? because if it's a good photo, I'll do it."
Erin is from South Africa originally and was doing some modeling as a career. She plans to return to South Africa soon. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.

I've bough a new camera, a Sony Alpha 6000, known as an ILCE-6000
Back in July 2014, I embarked on the prequel to my 100 strangers series i.e. 50 mono portraits with my 50 mm lens.
As part of my 50 mono portraits series I photographed Irene from our camera club with my Canon 450D 50mm.
So I thought I's photograph Irene with my ILCE-6000 and see how it compares.
Obviously all is not equal and my Sony has the 16-50mm OSS kit lens on it.
The location is the same and Irene looks pretty much the same and as I recall, the night and weather was fairly similar too
Anyway here is the lovely Irene with her friendly smile and pose.
