I have met this lady during the carnival parade of the Rogstaekers. I was shooting the contesters of the parade, when I saw her. So I decide to took her picture also.

We started talking. She told me that she was born in Weert and lived a long time in Weert. Since her husband was retired, she lives in Roermond. Every year she visits Weert during carnival.

She also told me, that her husband was a professional photographer. Her husband, unfortunately, was passed away.

The Rogstaekers are the leading carnival society of Weert. Every year they have a large parade thru the centre of Weert, with approximately 80 contesters. This parade is always held on the Sunday during carnival.
