This is a photograph of four pictures I took this afternoon. I call it my Frankfurt series. I meet Nazli, Faisal, Jonas and Kristin. All photos will follow soon. So I'm in Frankfurt, the big city near my place of work.
It was late afternoon. I just took a few test shots to make my camera settings when a young woman approached me. "Do you want to take a picture of me?", she asked me. She could not know that this was my today's goal.
Yes, gladly I replied. That surprised my conversation partner again. I explained my presence here in the Frankfurt pedestrian zone and my project. "Why not," replied the young woman after a very short period of reflection. So I met Nazli, 21 years old.
We were standing near a green fence. That was the ideal background. I directed Nazli there and our little shoot started. It was very funny because Nazli always had to laugh. But it worked out well. (I even liked the serious expression of the face.)
Nazli comes from Frankfurt, has Turkish roots, and belongs to the people who already live in the third generation in Germany. Nazli is a medical assistant here in Frankfurt.
Her friend, who is watching our shoot (unfortunately she did not want to be photographed), describes Nazli as follows: "She is wonderful, humorous, sociable and... impatient."
What makes Nazli the greatest joy? Nazli likes to be with her friend.
I asked Nazli which person she would like to meet? "This is Elyas M'Barek, an actor who has played in the German comedy" Turkish for Beginners ".
My last question was what annoys Nazli most: "This is disrespect".
Because Nazli was scheduled, I did not want to take her time any longer. So we said goodbye and I could only wish Nazli all the best.

Dies ist ein Foto von vier Bildern, die ich an diesem Nachmittag gemacht habe. ich nenne es meine Frankfurt-Serie. Begegnet bin ich Nazli, Faisal, Jonas und Kristin. Alle Fotos folgen in Kürze. Ich bin also in Frankfurt, die große Stadt in der Nähe meines Arbeitsplatzes.
Es war später Nachmittag. Gerade machte ich ein paar Testaufnahmen um meine Kameraeinstellungen vorzunehmen, als mich eine junge Frau ansprach. Möchten Sie ein Foto von mir machen? Sie konnte nicht wissen, dass das mein heutiges Ziel war und sie mir quasi zuvor- gekommen ist.
Ja, gerne antwortete ich. Das erstaunte wieder meine Gesprächspartnerin. Ich erklärte meine Anwesenheit hier in der Frankfurter Fußgängerzone und mein Projekt. Warum nicht, entgegnete die junge Frau, nach ganz kurzer Überlegungszeit. Ich traf also hier Nazli, 21 Jahre alt.
Wie standen ganz in der Nähe eines grünen Bauzauns. Das war der ideale Hintergrund. Ich dirigierte Nazli dorthin und unser kleines Shooting begann. Es war sehr lustig, weil Nazli immer wieder lachen musste. Aber es klappte gut. (Der ernste Gesichtsausdruck gefiel mir sogar.)
Nazli kommt aus Frankfurt, hat türkische Wurzeln, und gehört zu den Menschen die bereits in der dritten Generation in Deutschland leben. Nazli ist Arzthelferin hier in Frankfurt.
Ihre Freundin, die unser Shooting beobachtet (leider wollte sie sich nicht fotografieren lassen) beschreibt Nazli so: „Sie ist wundervoll, humorvoll, kontaktfreudig und ungeduldig.“
Was bereitet Nazli die größte Freude? Am liebsten ist Nazli mit ihrer Freundin zusammen.
Ich fragte Nazli, welchen Menschen sie gerne einmal treffen würde? „Das ist Elyas M'Barek, ein Schauspieler, der in der deutschen Komödie „Türkisch für Anfänger“ mitgespielt hat.“
Meine letzte Frage war, was Nazli am meisten ärgert: „Das ist Respektlosigkeit“.
Da Nazli verabredet war,wollte ich ihre Zeit nicht länger in Anspruch nehmen. So verabschiedeten wir uns und ich konnte nur noch Nazli alles Gute wünschen.
